It's not very often that a newborn comes into the studio sleeping and not fed and ends up sleeping almost all the way through the entire session. What a trooper Caleb was. He had the most beautiful skin tone, and the smoothest baby skin. It was such a treat to finally be able to meet him.
It doesn't get cuter than this. A birthday for the prettiest little princess. I just love her expressions and the beautiful soft pink colors. Nothing more to say than to let the pictures speak for themselves!
Baby Boy Trivette | Wakemed Cary Birth Photography | Raleigh Birth Photography | Maya Anna Photography
I love telling the stories of how our babies are born--it's so fun to relive those moments again and again. Here is the story of Baby Boy Trivette--Born on February 17th 2016 at 2:17am.
I got a text from Melissa around 5:17pm that said she was headed into the hospital and that her water had already broken. She would update me soon. I was in total shock--baby wasn't due for 4 more weeks. However, I had all the confidence in the world that Melissa and her baby would be perfectly healthy. I waited on pins and needles for hours and finally got another text around midnight that things were changing and she felt like I should come in.
I got to the hospital in Cary at super fast speeds--since no one drives around at midnight on a Tuesday. She was progressing and could feel contractions were getting stronger. We took several laps around the maternity ward and stopped to breathe as contractions got closer and closer together. She was in amazing spirits, laughing between contractions, talking with her husband Mike and her dad. Everything was so positive. We even stopped at the Coach's corner for a few snacks. She had gone to the restroom around 1:00am and things starting to get intense. She never left this area near the bathroom until it was time to push. Nurse Jasmine was called in around 1:30 and stayed with her throughout the delivery.
She decided she needed to lay down--she was so focused and so determined to birth her baby boy on his terms only.
The doctor and ped's team was called in around 2:08am...only the ped's team showed up.
And the rest was history...Nurse Jasmine caught her baby boy at 2:17am. Dad cut the cord, and baby got wrapped up warm and laid on mom.
Meeting His Siblings
12 Hours Later--he gets to meet his big brother and sister for the first time. Big Brother shouted "look! he is so handsome like me."
Congrats Melissa and Mike!

Little dude is 9 months old, and I can't hardly believe it. I remember when his momma told me she was expecting; seems like yesterday. Literally. After a few rounds of illnesses, we finally were in the studio for his 9 month portraits. Simple. Cute. My kind of day. And I can't forget his amazingly beautiful eyes, chub rolls, and cute baby toes.
I really enjoy these two when I get to see them for their milestone pictures. So cute and cuddly. They usually have big sister join in, but she was at school. They look so big here...Enjoy!
Oh he was a precious little bundle. Born 3 weeks early, but expected much earlier. Momma had been having pre-term labor for weeks, but held him in as long as she could. He slept like a champ for me the entire session. Big Sister, Peyton, was absolutely beautiful and so proud.
Hayes Turns One! | Raleigh Family and Children's Photography | Baby's First Year | Maya Anna Photography
Mr. Hayes officially graduates his First Year Package and we had a wonderful 12 month session today. We rode a gator, rocked in the rocking chair, climbed (everything!), ate tons of food, and played with trains. I absolutely love doing lifestyle sessions in client's homes because it really makes the images personal. Check out Mr. Hayes when we was less than a week old...
and here he is at 3 months...
6 months he was sitting and talking!
and by 9 months he was almost walking!
Check out his 12 month session below and wish Hayes a wonderful 2nd year.
