John + Janessa | 2.27.2016 | Raleigh Wedding Photography | St. Mark's Chapel Winter Wedding2/28/2016 It was a beautiful sunny, yet cold, day for a February wedding in Downtown Raleigh. John and Janessa, with their 3 kids, were married at St. Mark's Chapel at 4:00 in the afternoon. I had an amazing time meeting John and Janessa's family and friends as they gathered to celebrate their union. The day was filled with all kinds of amazing surprises. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. We ended the night as the sun was setting on Downtown Raleigh in front of the Capital building. What an amazing afternoon. Congrats to John and Janessa on your beautiful marriage and union of families.

What a special day it was to have Enrique in our studio for his first birthday. He is such a handsome little man. If he doesn't put a smile on your face, i don't know what will!
Megan and Dan are expecting their first child, a baby boy, in just a few short weeks. We went with a very casual maternity session, but non-the-less stunning.
It was a cold winter morning at The Mill, but the Cooper family could not have been more beautiful. Momma, expecting her 4th child, was stunning. Check them out below!
It's not very often that a newborn comes into the studio sleeping and not fed and ends up sleeping almost all the way through the entire session. What a trooper Caleb was. He had the most beautiful skin tone, and the smoothest baby skin. It was such a treat to finally be able to meet him.
It doesn't get cuter than this. A birthday for the prettiest little princess. I just love her expressions and the beautiful soft pink colors. Nothing more to say than to let the pictures speak for themselves!
I love telling the stories of how our babies are born--it's so fun to relive those moments again and again. Here is the story of Baby Boy Trivette--Born on February 17th 2016 at 2:17am. I got a text from Melissa around 5:17pm that said she was headed into the hospital and that her water had already broken. She would update me soon. I was in total shock--baby wasn't due for 4 more weeks. However, I had all the confidence in the world that Melissa and her baby would be perfectly healthy. I waited on pins and needles for hours and finally got another text around midnight that things were changing and she felt like I should come in. I got to the hospital in Cary at super fast speeds--since no one drives around at midnight on a Tuesday. She was progressing and could feel contractions were getting stronger. We took several laps around the maternity ward and stopped to breathe as contractions got closer and closer together. She was in amazing spirits, laughing between contractions, talking with her husband Mike and her dad. Everything was so positive. We even stopped at the Coach's corner for a few snacks. She had gone to the restroom around 1:00am and things starting to get intense. She never left this area near the bathroom until it was time to push. Nurse Jasmine was called in around 1:30 and stayed with her throughout the delivery. She decided she needed to lay down--she was so focused and so determined to birth her baby boy on his terms only. The doctor and ped's team was called in around 2:08am...only the ped's team showed up. And the rest was history...Nurse Jasmine caught her baby boy at 2:17am. Dad cut the cord, and baby got wrapped up warm and laid on mom. Meeting His Siblings12 Hours Later--he gets to meet his big brother and sister for the first time. Big Brother shouted "look! he is so handsome like me." Congrats Melissa and Mike!Click here to view their birth video. |
